The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu officially opened its doors on October 9, 2013, marking the luxury brand's debut in Southwest China. Located in the heart of the city near Tianfu Square on a site that once housed an imperial palace, the hotel was highly anticipated and received the "Most Anticipated New Hotel" award earlier that year. The 41-story tower features 353 rooms and was designed to blend contemporary luxury with traditional Chinese motifs inspired by local courtyard homes. As the ninth Ritz-Carlton property in China at the time of its launch, it established a new standard for high-end hospitality in the region, offering panoramic views of the downtown area and a variety of upscale amenities including a signature spa and multiple fine-dining restaurants.
