Chengdu operates on China Standard Time (CST), which is eight hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8). Since China does not observe daylight saving time, this offset remains the same year-round. While China geographically spans five different time zones, the entire nation officially follows a single time zone for administrative and social unity, meaning that Chengdu shares the same local time as other major metropolitan areas across the country, such as Beijing and Shanghai.
