what county is chengdu airport in

Chengdu is served by two major international airports located in different administrative areas. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is situated approximately 16 kilometers southwest of the city center in Shuangliu District, which was formerly known as Shuangliu County before being reclassified. The city's newer and larger hub, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU), opened in 2021 and is located about 51 kilometers southeast of downtown Chengdu. This airport is situated in Lujia Town within Jianyang, a county-level city that is under the administration of the Chengdu sub-provincial city. While Chengdu itself functions as its own administrative prefecture and is divided into various districts and county-level entities, both airports are primarily identified by the specific districts or county-level cities—Shuangliu and Jianyang—in which they reside.
