Recent weather reports for both Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) indicate that misty conditions are a frequent occurrence, particularly during the early morning and late night hours. At Chengdu Shuangliu, recent observations have recorded mist with horizontal visibility ranging from 2,500 to 4,500 meters during the night and early morning. Similarly, at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, mist has been reported with horizontal visibility around 3.5 to 5.0 kilometers and humidity levels reaching as high as 100%. These conditions are characteristic of Chengdu's humid subtropical climate and its location within the Sichuan Basin, where a persistent layer of cloud, fog, or mist often results in low sunshine hours and reduced visibility at the airports.
