Chengdu Yiwo Tech Development Co., Ltd., better known by its brand name EaseUS, is a legitimate and established software company founded in 2004 that specializes in data recovery, backup, and disk management tools. The software itself is generally considered safe and free from malware, with millions of users and recognition from major tech publications like CNET and TechRadar. However, the company has a controversial reputation among some users due to aggressive marketing tactics, automatic subscription renewals that can be difficult to cancel, and a strict refund policy that often leads to complaints on platforms like Reddit and Trustpilot. While the products are technically functional and safe to install, users are advised to read the fine print regarding subscriptions and trial limitations before making a purchase.
