As of late 2025, Chengdu operates an extensive rapid transit network consisting of 17 subway lines and one tram line (Line T2). The current operational subway lines include Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (a circle line), 8, 9, 10, 13, 17, 18, 19, 27, 30, and the S3 intercity railway line. This massive system totals over 720 kilometers of track and serves more than 440 stations, ranking it as one of the largest metro networks in the world. The city continues to expand rapidly, with several additional lines and extensions currently under construction or planned to further enhance connectivity across the metropolitan area and its neighboring suburbs.
