The duration of exams in Chengdu varies significantly depending on the specific test being taken. For instance, the China Standardized Chinese Assessment (CSCA) features different time limits based on the subject: Professional Chinese for Liberal Arts and Science both take 90 minutes to complete, while core subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are each 60 minutes long. If you are taking a university placement test, online versions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes, with adaptive formats like the WebCAPE often being completed in just 20 to 30 minutes. In-person language placement tests may also include a brief 5 to 10-minute speaking interview in addition to the written portion. For international standardized tests like the CELPIP, the exam is generally completed in a single sitting, and results for many computer-based exams in the region are typically available online within 3 to 7 working days.
