Chengdu operates on China Standard Time (CST), which is eight hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8). As of the current moment, the local time in Chengdu, Sichuan, is 2:25 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Because China does not observe daylight saving time, this offset remains constant year-round across the entire country. Consequently, Chengdu maintains the same time as other major cities like Beijing and Shanghai, which is an important consideration for travelers and businesses coordinating across different regions of China.
