As of right now, it is 2:25 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Chengdu, Sichuan. The city operates on China Standard Time, which is UTC+8 year-round, as China does not observe daylight saving time. This means Chengdu shares the same local time as other major Chinese cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Because of its location in the western part of the country, the sun rises and sets significantly later in Chengdu than it does in eastern cities like Shanghai, despite being in the same time zone.
