Rant ahead.
It’s disheartening to see people who promote get-rich-quick schemes belittling those who work traditional jobs.
I came across a video recently. A get-rich-quick “scam artist” was mocking people earning a minimum wage or an hourly rate of $15. The individual in the video was promoting their “system” as the only way to become successful and wealthy, and in the process, they belittled those working traditional jobs.
These hustlers often use persuasive tactics to lure in unsuspecting individuals, promising them quick and easy ways to make money. They often try to make people feel inferior to a traditional job and feel like they’re not doing enough to achieve financial freedom. This is a dangerous tactic that preys on people’s insecurities and vulnerabilities.
Yes, persuasion is a powerful tool that can be used for good or bad. It’s important to recognize when persuasion is being used unethically. Hustlers and get-rich-quick scam artists often use persuasion to manipulate people into giving them their money while giving them little in return.
“Thanks” to social media; there is a viral belief that the only way to succeed is to become wealthy and famous overnight.
The reality is that building a successful career or business takes hard work, dedication, and perseverance over a long period. And building a successful career or business takes time and effort.
The 9 to 5 people understand this reality and work tirelessly to achieve their dreams. They are the backbone of our economy. They are the individuals who work in offices, hospitals, schools, and factories, among other places. They are the ones who keep our society running smoothly and make our lives better. It’s easy to take their work for granted, but the truth is that our society would come to a grinding halt without their efforts.
We should never allow these hustlers to disrespect or devalue those who work traditional jobs. We should always celebrate and appreciate the hard work and dedication of these individuals who keep our society running smoothly. A conventional job is not something to be ashamed of and should never be used to belittle or disrespect someone.
🤡 Many of the people who promote get-rich-quick schemes and belittle those who work traditional jobs often come from families where a parent or both parents worked 9 to 5 jobs to support the family. Ironically, these individuals would now disrespect those who have worked hard to provide for their families.
One of the reasons why get-rich-quick gurus are so popular is that they tap into our desire for instant gratification. So think twice the next time you see a hustler’s plug on Twitter or a get-rich-quick guru’s link to the secret formula.
